City Sleeps: “A Rookie Year Card Worth Keeping”

With their rookie year on the Trustkill line up, Atlanta’s gritty post-hardcore boys come full strength with their debut album to rock the underground scenes. Offering nothing but hard-hitting rock fused with spacey post-hardcore riffs, City Sleeps is already marking their territory with an album that hasn’t even dropped yet. Hardcore dedication and the talent to write an album with no label backing, shows that true rock n’ roll is still alive!

The band forming a little over two years ago, set out on tour building up their reputation with a true DIY style. Along with growing a cult following, City Sleeps also grabbed the attention of majors in the industry. One of the heads that the band turned was of the multi-platinum producer John Feldmann (The Used, Story of the Year). Before long the band was working in L.A. on what will become their debut album off of Trustkill entitled, Not an Angel.

Not long after the completion of the album, the band received more help from directors Nathan Cox and Zach Merck (HIM, Queens of the Stone Age, Marilyn Manson) to shoot a video for their song “Prototype.” With a completed album and a music video behind them, City Sleeps hit the road once again, but this time with Trustkill records on their tails. Shortly after the tour began, Trustkill signed City Sleeps to their roster with praise coming from both sides.

With the album’s release date set for October 8th, City Sleeps is being given the chance to step back and admire what they have set up for themselves. For a band only forming 2 years ago, they have accomplished what takes most others years to obtain. Despite an un-released album, their constant touring and massive following is going to make City Sleeps a band that will be hard to keep off your radar.
