Heavy Music Awards 2023: What to Expect on May 26
With less than a week to go (at the time of writing) until the Heavy Music Awards 2023, it’s time to think about deciding whether to make an appearance or not.
With less than a week to go (at the time of writing) until the Heavy Music Awards 2023, it’s time to think about deciding whether to make an appearance or not. With a lineup including Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm performing an unplugged and intimate set whilst accompanied by the incredible Sophie Lloyd alongside the likes of Underoath, Creeper and Boston Manor, and recently they announced Loathe (just to name a few), the answer should be an unequivocal ‘yes’!
Alongside the array of live performances, the event will be hosted by Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker, a man well known for broadcasting and promoting breakthrough music. Joining Baker on the presenting team will be BBC Radio 1’s Alyx Hulcombe and Nels Hylton, who will be on the red Carpet to welcome the guests.
This year the prestigious metal event will be held at Wembley’s OVO Arena, a venue known for hosting some of the biggest names in music and on May 26, 2023, will be celebrating both well-established artists alongside newcomers that deserve recognition and with over 1.3 million votes from all over the globe, this year could very easily be the biggest one yet!
The Heavy Music Awards has been going since 2017 and, since its inception, has celebrated and supported the careers of many up-and-coming artists and helped them to get the recognition they have worked for and deserve. Previous years have supported the breakthrough careers of Nova Twins, Wargasm, Spiritbox, Cassyette and Hot Milk, and this year will be no different!
The finalists for each category can be found here.
