“When life gives you lemons… don’t get sour,” collectively remarks Southsea, England-based rock quintet Colour of the Jungle of their latest single “Steel Tray.” The unavoidably catching tune dropped on June 28th and followed the band’s debut four-song EP, The Jungle Book, which dropped about a year earlier, on June 12th, 2018. (Find all of this music on Spotify and iTunes.) The garage rockers—which consists of vocalist Jack Evans, bassist John “Sea Bass” Harris, drummer Dan Fiford, and guitarists Brendan McVeagh and Joe Costello—blend surfy guitars and bumping percussion to deliver a super-summery jam that’s as suited for the beach as it is for a backyard BBQ or mellow, country-side drive.

“Steel Tray,” which we’re delighted to now be offering as a free, high-quality MP3 download, discusses the idea of succesfully navigating choppy seas when the world is pouring down on you. What began as fun quickly turned serious when the guys entered the studio for the first time to record the above-mentioned The Jungle Book EP. There they truly discovered their gift and have been going hard ever since. Get to know the group, add them to your #rockradar, and enjoy their take on modern garage rock.

Upcoming Concert Dates:

08/03 – Wickham Festival
08/24 – August Victorious Festival
