Geared Up
Gear Review: LoNero lead guitarist Bill Lonero on his Peavey Wolfgang guitar
As the originators of guitarcore, it’s no surprise that LoNero take their guitar sounds and tones seriously. The band has been hard at work in the studio putting the finishing touches on their newest release J.F.L. which is due in stores on May 24th. Recently we were able to catch up with lead guitarist Bill Lonero recently to ask him some questions about his equipment and the gear behind his signature sound.

What one piece of gear do you use to obtain your signature sound?
Bill: My Peavey Wolfgang guitar.
What about it makes it so important to you?
Bill: It’s become a part of me. The neck is black from playing it so much. It just feels right.
What are the major pros and cons?
Bill: There are no cons. It’s the perfect guitar. It plays fantastic, sounds great and looks awesome!
How long have you had it, how do you use it, would you ever change it?
Bill: Had it for 9 years. I have 3. I would never want to play live without it.
Any final thoughts or comments on the gear?
Bill: I wish Peavey still made them. I know EVH Guitars is making them now and I haven’t had a chance to play one yet.
