Some bands are just ready to get out on the road and in the faces of an actual live audience in a hot, sweaty room. One of those bands is UK rock outfit The Cruel Knives who hit the road recently for a full UK headline tour.

Joining the headliners for this week-long jaunt around the UK were alternative punk duo Crashface, who are no stranger to causing a ruckus in the kind of venues the pair are playing on this tour. Unpredictable and ever so slightly unhinged, Crashface has built a reputation for their insane live shows, making them the kind of band worth getting down early to check out ahead of the headliner.

As for the headliner, here is a band who have rocked their way around the UK supporting the likes of The Pretty Reckless and Those Damn Crows and are now out with their new single, “Itchy Trigger Finger,” ringing in the ears of the UK rock fraternity. Having already stepped up their game in recent months, their new single and intense live show is the perfect start to a year where the British band stamp their name on the map.

Three dates into the tour, the pair arrived in Manchester, where they were joined at The Lodge by local opening act Fate’s Hollow. Our photographer, Katie Probert, headed down to capture this quality representation of British rock in all their glory. Check out the gallery below.
