Lilo Reveals Her Latest Single “You’re Coming Over”
Lilo delivers her latest single, “You’re Coming Over,” a dynamic track that is as moody as it is rich in flavourful production.
Establishing herself as the new voice in pop, London-based artist Lilo delivers her latest single, “You’re Coming Over,” a dynamic track that is as moody as it is rich in flavourful production. This fresh take on pop showcases Lilo’s unique voice and highlights her compelling lyricism.
Inspired by Thriller movies like Gone Girl, “You’re Coming Over” encapsulates the primal desperation of love and the overwhelming desire to allow that feeling to take control. The soft piano-based intro lulls the listener into a false sense of security, with an eerie atmospheric bridge that drops into a powerful chorus layered with both rhythmic and melodic vocals.
Reflecting on the track, Lilo spoke about her songwriting process and the track’s narrative.
“I wrote a song that lyrically encapsulates the fierce, high-risk, kill-for-this-love type of romance. The lyrics are very confident and direct, effectively mirroring the boldness and delusional audacity of the narrator. After composing the song on the piano in my bedroom, I worked in London with my producer Patrick Byrne to bring this track to life. I created the punchy backing vocals in the chorus to help give the track an interesting, immediate rhythm.”
Often likened to artists such as Dua Lipa and Madison Beer, Lilo takes listeners into the unbound depths of emotion, bombarding them with complex soundscapes that invite the listener to experience the raw, unfiltered power of untamed desire.
As Lilo prepares for the release of “You’re Coming Over,” she sets the stage for a successful year of new music, with more releases to be announced in the coming months. You can catch Lilo at her headline show at the Spice of Life on the 26th of April.
