The International Indigenous Music Summit (IIMS) returns to TD Music Hall at Allied Music Centre in Toronto from June 10th to 14th, 2024. Registration for 2024 IIMS is open now to the general public. For details, click here.

The IIMS will kick off with its Opening Night Gala at TD Music Hall on June 10th, 2024, headlined by four-time Polaris Music Prize Short Listed and JUNO Award nominated Snotty Nose Rez Kids, along with performances by Manitou Mkwa Singers, Josh Q, Silla, and The Red River Ramblers representing First Nations, Inuit, and Métis excellence from across Northern Turtle Island. Individual tickets for the Opening Night Gala are available here.

This year’s theme is BAWAADAN: Dream Of It, which speaks to the interconnection of past and future through an Indigenous lens, centering Indigenous worldviews in a shared dream of the future, and the role that Indigenous artists and their music must play in shaping this reality.

Now in its sixth year, the Summit continues to evolve and grow in its important role as a pathway to Indigenous success in the music industry. This year saw the most Indigenous artists nominated in the history of the JUNO Awards, with Indigenous performers, languages and traditions front and center on the JUNO Awards’ national stage.

The only event of its kind, the International Indigenous Music Summit is unique in its mandate and operations. It is led by an Elder advisory committee and centres on Indigenous perspectives and experiences. In 2023, the IIMS found a new home and partnership with Massey Hall and the Allied Music Centre. As a launchpad for artists and a destination for the global Indigenous music community to gather, the IIMS is a major driver of connecting and amplifying Indigenous artists and industry members.

Registration for 2024 IIMS is open now to the general public. For information and to register, please visit indigenousmusicsummit.com.

The 2024 IIMS full artist lineup and programming details will be unveiled soon.

IIMS gratefully acknowledges the support of FACTOR, the Government of Canada and Canada’s private radio broadcasters, Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Creates, Ontario Arts Council, Music BC, Creative BC, and the Province of British Columbia, and the City of Toronto’s Music Office.
