City and Colour just wrapped up a run in the USA that saw them playing midsize venues up and down the east coast. We caught up with their tour as it hit Portland, Maine’s State Theatre on June 6th to play before a packed venue! Opener Noah Gundersen started the night off with an acoustic set that wowed many in the room–Gundersen has some serious vocal chops and his onstage banter was refreshing.

City and Colour (a.k.a. Dallas Green) took to the stage next–flanked by a backing band and brought the house down. Green and his cohorts put on a stellar set that included fan-favorite tracks like “The Girl,” “Lover Come Back,” and “Sleeping Sickness,” as well as newer tracks “Woman,” “If I Should Go Before You,” and “Runaway.” Fans got treated to more than just his recent work though, with Green pulling out Alexisonfire material covering “Comin’ Home/This Could Be Anywhere in the World.” Although this tour is over, you can catch City and Colour on tour again in the US in September, and in Canada before that.
