3 Years Hollow – “The Cracks” [Album Review]

If you are looking for some quality-sounding, top-notch hard rock then look no further than The Cracks, the latest release from rock/metal band 3 Years Hollow. Everything a hard rock fan could wish for is herein included on this disc and unlike numerous other acts in this genre, 3 Years Hollow’s music is not formulaic. In fact, i’ll go so far as saying that it’s fresh, vibrant and keeps you guessing as to what will come next.

With the exception of “Angels” and “Still Waiting”, the songs on The Cracks are easily accessible, heavy, high energy affairs that could no doubt hold their own on hard rock radio stations across the country. The driving beats, tasteful yet smoking guitar solos and clean powerful vocals make this disc a pleasurable listen. What’s more, a special guest appearance by Sevendust’s Clint Lowry puts the proverbial icing on the cake.

At the end of the day I liked The Cracks and think that hard rock fans of all ages will dig it as well. The album dropped 3 days ago so if you find yourself alone this Valentine’s Day, then pair up with this new release and have some good, rocking alone time.
