Geared Up
Gear Review: Social 66 guitarist Se7eN on his TC Electronics Corona Chorus pedal
I recently chatted with Se7eN, guitarist of the hook-driven hard rock band Social 66, about his favorite piece of gear. Earlier this year the group released their latest offering The Party Is On and they have been touring the country in support of it ever since. Here is how the conversation with Se7eN went.

What one piece of gear do you use to obtain your signature sound?
Se7eN: I’d have to go with the TC Electronics Corona Chorus pedal.
What about it makes it so important to you?
Se7eN: I’ve used a lot of chorus pedals before but the Corona Chorus has such a unique tone to it and the ability to get a multitude of tones out of it, I will sometimes switch between the tones live a lot depending on the song were doing.
What are the major pros and cons?
Se7eN: Pros are that it is easy to use and will definitely fatten your lead tones up and cut right through the mix to be heard. I’ve yet to run into a con about this pedal for me.
How long have you had it, how do you use it, and would you ever change it out?
Se7eN: I started using this pedal about 6 months ago in my effects chain. I use it for leads to fatten things up and on my clean tones within songs for a nice lush watery effect.
Any final thoughts or comments on the gear?
Se7eN: For the money you won’t find a better chorus pedal to use – solid, durable, and full of awesome tones to make your sound better. I wouldn’t trade it for any other.
