For more than a decade now the Chicago-based band The Tossers has been releasing their own unique brand of Celtic punk. The group’s newest disc, The Emerald City, continues that tradition and is a collection of fourteen songs that make the perfect backdrop for a night at the pub, surrounded by good friends.

Sure there are others (Flogging Molly, The Dropkick Murphy’s) doing something similar, but The Tossers predate both of those groups and really get it right! Not much else can really be said about this disc; there are no real surprises, just terrific Irish-influenced punk tunes each with great instrumentation and designed for nothing but a good time. Check this one out, it really is a fun record!
