Album Review
Orange Goblin – “A Eulogy For The Damned”
I was introduced to Orange Goblin a few years back via their Healing Through Fire release and from that moment on I became a hardcore fan. That said, I’ve been anticipating this record for a while and let me tell you it was WELL the wait; I absolutely love the entire disc. A Eulogy For The Damned picks up right where Healing Through Fire left off and carries on the trademark heavy, sludgy, stoner sound that myself and so many others have come to know and love.

“Red Tide Rising” starts things off with its raw, hard-hitting attack and the rest of the album follows suit; moving forward from here is nothing but forty-five more minutes of sludge-filled bliss. It’s been a few days now since I sat down to review this disc and I find myself retuning to it over and over again; it is that good.
I know it’s only the second week of January, but A Eulogy For The Damned has set the bar extremely high. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this is going to be one of my favorite albums of the entire year. When this CD is released on February 14th I highly encourage you stop what you are doing and run right out and purchase it.
