Faber Drive – “Can’t Keep A Secret”
In Canada we have something called CANCON, a requirement that 25% of radio content must contain Canadian content. This enables the Canadian music industry to promote homegrown talent. One band that has been shoved our way is Faber Drive. Why do I bring up radio? Read on.

Faber Drive released their second album Can’t Keep A Secret in 2009. The album features a diversity of rock, dance and ballads. With such a variety of song types you never feel like you’re listening to the same song over and over again; every song is fresh with a bit of something for everyone. It is simple and easy to get into.
For their tribute to the classics, Faber Drive has covered The Cars’ “Just What I Needed”. They took a 32 year old song and popped it up, making it catchy for a new and younger Canadian fan base. I am sure Ric Ocasek is proud of this toe tapper.
Can’t Keep A Secret has appeal for a wide fan base so it won’t be difficult for the radio to pull a few tracks to use as hits. Canadian fans of Nickelback, Marianas Trench, My Darkest Days and Armchair Cynic will want to “Get up n dance, Gget up n dance, Move ur body, bbbody”.
