Singer-songwriter and producer Rob Eberle recently released his new single, “Half of You.” This poignant song explores the complex emotions of unrequited love and the toll it takes on the one yearning for mutual affection.

Just signed to Earth Program/Virgin Records, Eberle’s passion for music began when he received a left-handed guitar at age eight. He started writing songs when he was 12, followed by learning piano, ukulele, and bass, in addition to guitars. He’s currently learning to play drums.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Eberle sculpts songs that serve as windows into the experiences and moments of his life and the lives of those around him. His influences include an eclectic array of artists: FINNEAS, Elliott Smith, Billie Eilish, Jeremy Zucker, Olivia Rodrigo, and Alexander 23. The result is a dark, alternative pop-rock sound drenched in visceral emotions.

Eberle has performed at SXSW in Austin, Texas and ACL (Austin City Limits) in October of ’23, as well as his first-ever sold-out headline show in the heart of Manhattan and is currently working with Coca-Cola to produce exclusive content.

“Half of You” travels on a soft, moving piano topped by Eberle’s evocative voice, rich with expressive timbres. When the rhythm enters, the harmonics take on resonant heft, adding to the heartache sensation of the melody. Ebbing and rising, Eberle’s all-embracing vocals imbue the lyrics with the pain of longing for the unreachable.

Probing into the misery of one-sided love, “Half of You” evokes the inconsolable mood of a heart broken by neglect.
