Naomi Jane – “Pretty Boys” [Song Review]
Impressive and emotionally generous, Naomi Jane’s “Pretty Boys” conveys listeners through exasperating relationships with good-looking boys.

Alt-pop singer-songwriter, actor, and multi-instrumentalist Naomi Jane releases her new single/music video, “Pretty Boys,” a song about the troubling aspects hidden behind an attractive outward appearance.
A classically trained vocalist with a three-octave scope, Jane’s voice is powerful, deliciously nuanced, and capable of expressing a variety of emotional flavors. In addition to her evocative voice, her instrumental gifts include guitar, ukulele, saxophone, violin, and piano.
Jane’s television roles include PBS Kids’ Monkey Monkey Music and Assisted Living, as well as a role in the zombie film A Night with the Sheintops. This spring, she will star as Kathy in Singing in the Rain.
Still in high school and with more than 33,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Naomi Jane is poised to make her breakthrough to star status. Last year, she released two tracks, “Why Not” and “Never Let Go.”
Low, pulsating tones open “Pretty Boys.” Jane’s voice elevates the song, narrating a series of experiences with physically charming boys who turned out to be heartbreakers. Dripping with speculation, Jane’s vocals imbue the chorus with cogent emotions as she communicates her true feelings with precise phrasing and soaring timbres.
Impressive and emotionally generous, “Pretty Boys” conveys listeners through exasperating relationships with good-looking boys.
