Morabeza Tobacco – “Teacher’s in the Mood” [Song Review]
Offering a pacific soundscape and graceful, soothing vocals, Morabeza Tobacco’s single “Teacher’s in the Mood” (Roxy Music / Playground Music) sculpts a deliciously plush sonic vista.

Morabeza Tobak is a small tobacco store in the neighbourhood of Mariatorget in Stockholm, Sweden. Translating it to Morabeza Tobacco, Swedish pop duo Gustav and Vanilla borrowed the name.
“Teacher’s in the Mood,” the duo’s latest single, was taken from their upcoming album, Shadow Of The Cherry, which is drenched in gentle, nuanced melodies sometimes dipped in sadness and soft moodiness.
Speaking about Shadow Of The Cherry, Gustav shares, “I think it’s more anxious, darker. Somewhere in an anxious dream state, in a lot of the songs. There’s a lot about uncertainties in love.”
“Teacher’s in the Mood” rolls out on silky-smooth tones riding an easy rhythm as Gustav and Vanilla’s enchanting, gliding vocals imbue the lyrics with pondering timbres, simultaneously introspective and nostalgic.
Offering a pacific soundscape and graceful, soothing vocals, “Teacher’s in the Mood” sculpts a deliciously plush sonic vista.
