London, ON-based post-hardcore crew, Junko Daydream has unveiled a new single called “Emptied Out” featuring King Cruff. According to the band, the song is a “genre-blending look at the emotional turmoil that comes with the loss of a loved one.”

Junko Daydream forgoes the optimism of their previous release, “Don’t Go Down,” and navigates the darker regions of the human experience.

This latest single is the third the band recorded with ex-Cancer Bats guitarist Scott Middleton. The music video was filmed in collaboration with London videographer Sevi Ferguson.

Per a recent press release, the band state:

“Pulling from a well of cleverly tamed emotions, ‘Emptied Out’ builds from melancholy verses to raging choruses before it unleashes an assault on your emotions with a final half that will either leave you calling your ex in the middle of the night to apologize or patting yourself on the back for finally calling it quits. In his featured verse, King Cruff expands on Junko’s lyrical themes and explores how relationships change as you become more successful as an artist.”
