Emily Magpie returns with her brand new single, “ReForward,” which is out now via Silent Kid Records. Per a recent press release, “As her first instrumental single, ‘ReForward’ sees Emily manipulating found sounds and creating immersive sonic worlds, honing in on her signature production style inspired by artists such as The Sundrop Garden, Romare and Sudan Archives.”
Commenting on the new song herself, Emily states:
“‘ReForward’ I loved creating! I was so inspired by a choir sample I found and the energy of their voices. I knew I wanted the track to be about earth and it grew into a celebration of our history and ancestors and a call to dance and feel your feet on the ground. It reminded me we need to remember our past or we have no roots to grow from.”
Check out the new tune today, and if you’re in the area, be sure to hit up one of Emily’s UK festival dates.
Emily Magpie UK Festival Dates:
16th July – Bristol Harbourside Festival
8th July – Exeter Library Lates
29th July – Altitude Festival
10-14th August – Boomtown Festival
18th – 21st August – Green Man Festival
