Rising hip-hop artist Lucidious released his newest single “On The Surface” today, October 22nd. After gaining over half a million Spotify followers, Lucidious is brewing his new music to sound and feel like an upgraded version of the music his fans already love. “On The Surface” is about a couple choosing to stay together while the outside world seems to be crumbling. “The world is going down will you stay with me on the surface,” sings Lucidious. The rapper has soared above the masses by creating an independent label and engaging in other music business ventures. The marketing and development skills that he’s gained along the way have allowed Lucidious to create a powerful platform for his music without needing a huge team behind him.

Following his last single “Headstart,” this new track features Lucidious’ classic rapping, while also mixing in a pop-friendly, catchy hook. Lucidious creates music that speaks to people struggling with anxiety and depression. Despite the emotional subjects in Lucidious’ music, he always incorporates a positive twist. “On The Surface” is about “choosing connections and choosing to stay throughout all the chaos,” says Lucidious.

Lucidious is an entrepreneur and hip-hop artist from outside the Washington, D.C. area. Currently located in Los Angeles, he has built a fanbase in the hundreds of thousands, and has totalled over 100 million streams across all available platforms. He has built his fanbase and streaming growth with zero label investment, zero playlist placement, and zero outside marketing influence. Songs by Lucidious are streamed millions of times each month by listeners around the world. His music takes a strong stand on mental health awareness, personal struggles, and the pressure that many people face in our fast-paced, tech-driven society. Despite his focus on running an indie label, Lucidious Music, he has spent years mastering social media marketing and entered into the world of artist development.
