Hydraform Advertises Their Aggressive Sound on New Single “Chained” [Premiere]

Hydraform has returned with their aggressive new single, “Chained!” The Colorado-based band’s brand new track is heavy, with a mean bass line, and full of throat slashing screams from lead singer Carter Pashko, not to mention some exceptional musical chemistry, strung through six-and-a-half glorious minutes of hard rock. This may be the most exciting Hydraform offering yet and serves as the perfect bridge between the band’s debut album, Dark Adder, and a new self-titled EP on the way this summer.

With a quick comment regarding “Chained” and the circumstances surrounding its recording, the group stated, “We’re stoked for the world of metal to finally hear our new single ‘Chained!’ We drove all the way from Denver, Colorado to Ashland, Oregon last year to record this song with Sylvia Massy at Studio Divine. Everyone thought it would be a good idea to record some actual chains to include in the track, listen for it in the bridge.”

While aggression is what Hydraform feed off of, there’s much more to this quartet than just reinventing the sounds of old Metallica and Slayer albums. Their upcoming slate of new songs will be focused on uniting the melodic, technical, and groove aspects of hard music that will be more expansive than what you can hear on Dark Adder. You’ll also notice subtle aspects of progressive rock that have found their way into the band’s sound, particularly on the elaborate drumming patterns of drummer Matt Gotlin.

Although it will only contain three songs, the EP will be responsible for pushing Hydraform forward into the next chapter of their growth into a force to be reckoned with. Get ready to feed off of the aggression because Hydraform is here and they’re coming for you.
