Nova Scotia, Canada’s Classified has unveiled a new single called “Rap Shit” featuring DAX and Snack The Ripper. The track is the lead single off the the celebrated rapper’s (now in his twentiesh year of music making) upcoming new EP Pick Your Poison, which drops via Half Life Records/Universal Music Canada on April 10th.

Classified recently told HipHop DX, “It’s hard to think of what to say about dropping a new song or a new project when I’ve dropped so many over the years; and have said pretty much everything I can about dropping something new. I just know when I made this beat, it hit me – every time I hear it, I like it more. I wrote some classic rap shit on it and asked a couple of friends to get on it with me. I hope you like. There’s more to come.”

Classified was recently nominated for a 2020 JUNO Award for “Rap Album of the Year” following a national headlining tour with performances featuring special guests and Canadian hip-hop legends Choclair and Maestro Fresh Wes. Classified’s most recent release was 2018’s Tomorrow Could Be The Day Things Change which, lyrically, was focused on, as a recent press release noted, “cultural relevance and delivering the innovative and genuine narrative fans expect from one of the country’s most respected rappers.”
