NYC Rockers ZR. KING Extend Musicheads a Furry-But-Dangerous “Welcome To Bearizona” [Song Premiere]
With a long-hounded sophomore album, titled Musically & Morally Bankrupt, due on May 17th, New York rock quartet, Zr. King are back and have a message for musicheads everywhere: “Welcome to Bearizona”!
Musicheads of all ages, shapes and sizes, “Welcome to Bearizona”! This fuzzy-and-fun-but-still-packing-claws single is courtesy of New York-based rock quartet, Zr. King who, on May 17th, 2019, are due to drop their sophomore album, Musically & Morally Bankrupt. The new track marks a long-overdue return for these rockers as their last output came in the form of 2014’s A Potentially Lethal Game of Chance debut.
With past support from the likes of BBox Radio, Radio Free Brooklyn, amongst others, plus tons of local gigging, it’s no wonder the band’s first album left their stamp on the local scene. Celebrating their return, the guys (Brandon Lotti, Griffin Lotti, Matthew Thompson and Medley Shabazz) have already confirmed a show at Arlene’s Grocery on May 16th, 2019.
Speaking of their cuddly but dangerous new single, the group noted:
“‘Welcome To Bearizona’ starts with a riff that is relentless and unremitting, like the sailing stones of Death Valley. The song’s protagonist is time itself, the great equalizer of humankind and all-around-badass. To us, it’s the soundtrack to speeding through the Arizona desert in an El Camino with working air conditioning, after several pots of coffee. What better way to kick off a record than with a rocket-fueled riff that takes a left turn off a cliff?”
