’77 Montreal to Return for a Second Straight Year with Headliners RISE AGAINST
The return of ’77 Montreal, presented by Coors Light will be returning for its second edition this year on July 27th.
The return of ’77 Montreal, presented by Coors Light will be returning for its second edition this year on July 27th. The first edition drew over 8,000 fans of all ages to Parc Jean-Drapeau where the event will again take place this year.
There are a lot of big names on the bill this year, including American melodic hardcore band Rise Against, Cali thrash band Suicidal Tendencies and San Fran supergroup Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Other performers will include Steve Ignorant with Paranoid Vision playing CRASS and anarcho classics, The Interrupters, Sick Of it All, recently-reunited grunge legends L7 which will make their first Montreal appearance in ages, Montréal legends The Planet Smashers and one of the UK’s first wave punk bands The Rezillos.
Some of the key features of this year’s festival will include:
• 2 alternating mainstages,
• a 3rd stage in the YUL EAT Brasserie, our premium food & drink garden,
• a Marché Aux Punx vendor village featuring the Greenland 25 Expo,
• the ’77 Cinema, with the very special participation of Don Letts
• a family friendly Kids Zone, and FREE ADMISSION for children 10 and under!
