After being cryogenically suspended for over two decades in an undisclosed location, the mothership of the funktastic group Chunk O’ Funk touched down at The Danforth Music Hall on October 28th!
The ’70s Halloween Blowout featured a 14-piece band, including 6 vocalists, horns, 2 drummers, keyboards, guitars, and a zombie dance troop that would pop up to attack band members from time to time.
The crowd really seemed to be into the funkadelic spirit, dressed in platform shoes, giant “fros”, lots of sparkly clothes, and getting down to the funkalicious grooves all night long. By now, the group is likely blasting through the galaxy somewhere… let’s hope they find their way back again next year. To sum the evening up, it was a funkin’ blast!
