Dead Stars have released “Smarter,” an album track from their new record Perfect Patterns, the follow up to last year’s Bright Colors. The album features lots of crunchy guitars, infectious pop melodies and some ’90s nostalgia.
“Smarter” finds the band at their best. The track features crunchy guitar riffs along with slacker-esque lyrics and that undeniably catchy chorus. Perfect Patterns still finds Dead Stars embracing their love of fuzzed-out slacker vibes and pop sensibilities, the album takes a turn towards more aggressive guitar playing, minimalist song structures and stripped down arrangements.
