On May 31, 2016, the Albuquerque, New Mexico-based post-rock band, After Osmosis, released their stunning new 8-song effort titled What Do You See When You Dream?. Teeming with awe-inspiring musicianship, the young band blend equal parts ambient, experimental, atmospheric, and instrumental rock into their own sonic landscape reminiscent of the same vast, sky-filled and peyote-laden land from which they originate.
The album, a follow up to the group’s 2014 self-titled EP, is somewhat of a concept record in that, when beginning to tackle the new material, guitarist A.J. McQuay decided to first select song titles, then create the music. More over, when put together, the song titles read as a short poem. Either way, the whole package certainly flows like a tumble weed in the arid desert… and we’ve got a free download of the song “Reliving A Fear You Faced” to help you hear what we’re saying.
