Jamey Jasta, for those of you that don’t know (and, if not, what are you doing on a metal website?), is the frontman for U.S. bruisers Hatebreed, a hardcore legend, a podcast presenter, and someone who spends his downtime from all of the above writing for the plethora of other projects he has on the go.

‘The Immortal is his latest solo effort. It’s a track which Jasta has penned for UFC fighter Matt “The Immortal” Brown to use as his walkout track. As expected then, it’s a thumping, pounding, anthemic number guaranteed to get both the UFC and metal crowds on their feet.

Obviously it sounds like a cocktail of everything else Jasta has done over the years, but he has a tried and tested formula that is simple, catchy and works with those who like hard, catchy, heavy, head-pounding metal.

Run Time: 3:10
Release Date: March 05, 2015

Check out the song “The Immortal” here.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
