The Dreaming – “Alone” (Single) [Song Review]

For those not familiar with The Dreaming, the group was created by former Stabbing Westward front man Christopher Hall and drummer Johnny Haro. “Alone,” the first single from The Dreaming’s forthcoming disc, Rise Again, much like old Stabbing Westward material, has a driving electro/groove vibe that is infectious-as-hell and immediately gets under your skin.

Those familiar with Hall’s work will immediately take notice of his vocals; vocals which do a great job in rounding out this song and affording the track a nice melodic touch. Notably, “Alone” seems heavier than anything off the band’s 2011 release, Puppet, and again, is more in line with something from a Stabbing Westward record.

I think fans of Hall’s work are going to truly dig this new song. I sure did, and am now eagerly anticipating the forthcoming full-length release set to drop in February.
