Album Review
Toxic Holocaust – “Conjure and Command”
I’m new to the Toxic Holocaust camp and have had no previous exposure to these guys, other than what I’ve read. I have to be honest, from the very first song, “Judgment Awaits You,” I was sold hook, line and sinker. Conjure and Command is top notch blackened thrash metal; brash and in-your-face, this CD grabs you by the balls and does not let go.

Toxic Holocaust brings the heaviness right from the start by setting the bar so high I didn’t think they’d be able follow through all the way till the end; but I was proven wrong. Track after scorching track batters the listener with powerful, punishingly heavy, thrashing riffs that just don’t let up. I was pleasantly surprised with Conjure and Command; it’s a terrific album that pays homage to the masters and adds a breath of fresh air to the genre. I recommend this release without reservation.
