Bay Area band Culture Abuse have shared their new single “Bee Kind to the Bugs” after recently releasing the “Calm E” single. Both tracks are from their sophomore record Bay Dream. The song’s lyrics are full of personal life lessons, applicable for everyone. The album is the band’s first full-length record for Epitaph Records and follows their 2016 debut Peach. The album elevates the band’s trademark melody heavy garage punk rock to a new level with the band siting Sly and the Family Stone, Paul Simon, and reggae legend Billy Boyo as some musical inspiration for this collection of songs.
“I wrote songs in my head until I got a guitar,” said frontman David Kelling in reflecting on Bay Dream’s expansive sound. “Just going after the sound that I think each song needs individually, so the sound is in constant change.”
