The Grizzlies – “Self-Titled” [EP] [Album Review]
Anything that has been described as the missing key between Motorhead and NOFX is certainly worth a listen I’d say. This is exactly how Swiss quartet The Grizzlies were recently described by a local radio station and as the frantic thrashings of “Our Trap” smash out of your speakers, you can kind of see where the radio station were heading with that description of this riotous lesson in dirty, greasy punk-rock.

Speedy, thrashy rock n’ roll coupled with the infectious punk rock melodies are the order of the day here and it is those catchy punk rock hooks that, thankfully, place the Swiss foursome on the right side of chaos. However, even the more restrained tones of “Drama” don’t completely hide the fact that these three mates like nothing more than a good, thrash of the guitars and good old scream and, for that reason alone, we can’t do anything other than recommend this blast of crazy Swiss punk rock n’ roll.
