Guantanamo Baywatch – “Boomerenga” [Free Download]
Chest Crawl is Guantanamo Baywatch’s second album (first with Dirtnap Records) and is schedule for a May 22nd release. The highly-anticipated sophomore effort sees these Portland natives mixing things up with their sound and incorporating way more varied elements, while still remaining familiar, and true to their debut material. Expect more sex, sleaze and slime as the group explores things like added vocal numbers, obscure 50’s rock and a young-oldies sound – all while keeping the usual garage/surf aspects.

This free download of new song “Boomerenga” should get you pumped up for the rest of the new material. If this doesn’t make you a believer however, than take note of the fact that Dirtnap Records rarely signs local Portland acts. Guantanamo Baywatch is a clear exception to that rule and the first such group since Mean Jeans back in 2008. Chest Crawl is sure to put the band on the map, so become a fan now and don’t make us say “we told you so!”
