Some albums come more easily, while others come when they’re ready, like Ox’s latest KTEL. Released this past November via Cosmic Dave’s Record Factory, Ox frontman Mark Browning was trying to crack the code on this album for over a decade.

As life took over, family responsibilities became primary for Browning and music took a back seat. He barely played guitar for five years, focused on his personal life, and even opened a taco restaurant. But eventually, that old demo that he had lying around for all those years came back into focus for him. By the spring of 2021, Browning redid the songs, added some new ones and within a year completed KTEL. It helped reinvigorate his interest in music songwriting, and even instrumentation. It’s the first Ox album that he did the drumming for.

Joining us today for a session of Quick & Dirty is Browning where he offers some one-word answers to the most random question list you’ll ever see.
