Ryn Premieres Her Elevating New Single “Wouldn’t It Be Great” ft. Chris Perrine
Country artist Ryn has premiered her brand new single, “Wouldn’t It Be Great,” featuring independent Country vocalist Chris Perrine.
The more you learn about Ryn, the more you want to know. Not just for her exceptional talents, but for her drive, steadfastness, and intellectuality. “Wouldn’t It Be Great” is her new single, a duet she recorded with Chris Perrine, an up-and-coming independent Country artist. As the song suggests, Ryn has a unique approach to a genre that can be conventional at times. She has innovated her subgenre, one that has been referred to as “YeeEDM,” a mix of Country and EDM.
There’s lots of soul within “Wouldn’t It Be Great,” a song of hope and positivity, a look towards better days. The song follows the release of “Fall Like Rain” and “Hellava Ride,” both released late last year to a widely positive response.
When asked about the release of “Wouldn’t It Be Great,” Ryn states:
“To me, ‘Wouldn’t it be Great’ is an inspirational song that reminds me that while life may not be where I want it to be, there is always hope. While it is portrayed as a love song, it can be easily placed into any aspect of your life.”
It was about five years ago that Ryn started afresh with a new identity and a new viewpoint. She started slowly but smartly, focused on releasing cover versions of some of her favourite songs by artists like The Fray and Christina Perri. Through recording these covers, they helped situate her artistically, and build her confidence as a vocalist. She thinks of herself as just a regular person, so she sets out to record music for regular people. Her songs deal with regular everyday ups and downs, rolling with the punches and living to see the next day with hope.
This desire to tell it like it is and impart wisdom is who she is. Outside of music, she is a medical researcher, currently pursuing a PhD. But Ryn also strives to keep a quiet home life, with many cats, dogs, and farm animals there to keep her busy. Her interest in mental health from a clinical point of view has seeped into her music, with many of her songs dealing with mental health and empowerment. Remaining true to herself, Ryn is operating on a different wavelength.
