Authors of Fate Unleash “Seat’s Taken” from Upcoming EP
Authors of Fate emerge as the unyielding voice of dissent with their upcoming single, “Seat’s Taken,” off the upcoming EP of the same name.

In a tumultuous era dominated by the incessant cacophony of influencer culture, Los Angeles-based metal juggernauts Authors of Fate emerge as the unyielding voice of dissent with their upcoming single, “Seat’s Taken.” This relentless sonic assault serves as a scathing critique, tearing through the veneer of vapid self-absorption perpetuated by social media.
Debuting as the inaugural revelation from their highly anticipated EP, also titled “Seat’s Taken,” this release is poised to inject an even heavier, more menacing, and more unhinged sound to the heavy music scene. Produced and recorded under the meticulous eye of Taylor Young (Nails, Twitching Tongues, Deadbody, God’s Hate) at The Pit Studio, the EP promises a sonic journey that transcends the conventional, echoing the band’s profound disdain for the shallow nature of modern existence.
Authors of Fate, known for their unique fusion of dark thrash, blackened hardcore, and death metal, craft a narrative beyond mere auditory experience. “Seat’s Taken” goes for the jugular of a culture mired in self-absorption. The band’s vocalist, Robert Brunelle, delivers a visceral performance, cutting through the noise to decry a hyperconnected world.
Their forthcoming EP follows the band’s critically acclaimed 2021 release, You Will One Day Be Thought of for the Last Time, a testament to their unrelenting commitment to pushing the envelope of all things heavy. Recorded, produced, and mixed by the eminent expertise of Steve Evetts at Omen Room Studios and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music, the previous EP laid the foundation for Authors of Fate’s sonic conquest.
Comprising Elan Mlagenovich (Guitar), Robert Brunelle (Vocals), Levi “Gizmo” Henderson (Bass), Bob Skau (Drums), and Joe Williams (Guitar), the band’s collective synergy fuels their sonic onslaught. Balancing intensity with a refreshing refusal to take themselves too seriously, Authors of Fate carve a profound and entertaining niche.
Brace yourselves for an EP that aims to do more than bite the hand of modern existence; it wants to break it off. Prepare to be engrossed, enraged, and liberated by the unyielding force of Authors of Fate.
