Rob Carranza Brings Old Hit Back to Life with “Lucky Ones” Single
Rob Carranza premieres the remastered version of his fan-favourite pop-rock single “Lucky Ones,” inspired by the artist’s own journey.

Houston-based singer-songwriter Rob Carranza is captivating audiences once again with the remastered version of his emotive single “Lucky Ones.” Written during the poignant period surrounding the birth of Carranza’s son, “Lucy Ones” reflects the artist’s journey through recovery, gratitude, and newfound fatherhood. Freshly injected into Alcoholics Anonymous at the time, Carranza channels his emotions into a powerfully resonant piece that explores themes of redemption and the blessings of life.
A compelling blend of power pop and rock, this remastered track showcases Carranza’s signature sound and the evolution of his musical prowess. To bring new life to the already timeless composition, Carranza enlisted the help of highly acclaimed Bryan Jones, known for his role as guitar tech for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. With an impressive background as a session guitarist for artists like Shania Twain and Kelly Clarkson, Jones brings his expertise to elevate “Lucky Ones” to new heights.
Carranza comments”
“I wrote this song at the coming of my son’s birth. Freshly injected into AA, I was grateful to be blessed with a child as well as to be alive. ‘Lucky Ones’ is a reflection of my journey through recovery, marriage, and the immense gratitude I feel for my family.”
Carranza’s musical journey spans a lifetime. Born to a musician mother and preacher father, Carranza was raised with the influences of the blues/Rock of ZZ Top, the crunch post-grunge of King’s X, and the strong tones of Southern church – all of which showcase themselves in his music today. Inspired by the rich musical tapestry of his surroundings, he picked up his first guitar and never looked back. From smoky dive bars to intimate coffeehouses, Rob honed his craft, his songs becoming anthems for the souls of Texas.
