Bigg Vinny Rises: “Battleground” Single Premieres, Uniting Country Resilience and Rock Tenacity
Country music’s Bigg Vinny, known for his incredible transformation and tenure with Toby Keith’s Trailer Choir, debuts his inspiring new single “Battleground.”
V13 Media proudly presents the premiere of a heartfelt single that marks not only a return to form but a personal triumph for country music’s beloved artist, Bigg Vinny, formerly of Toby Keith’s Trailer Choir. “Battleground” embodies the resilience and determination that has characterized Bigg Vinny’s journey.
Born Vincent Hickerson, the Middle Tennessee native’s story is steeped in Nashville’s rich musical heritage. Raised in the shadow of his father’s impressive legacy, Hickerson grew up idolizing the phenomenal guitar player who lent his talents to the likes of Loretta Lynn, the Steve Miller Band, Alan Jackson, and David Allen Coe. This lineage inspired Hickerson to carve his own path in the industry, performing on every stage possible in Nashville before securing a publishing deal and signing with a major record label.
Hickerson’s time with The Trailer Choir, and his subsequent rise to fame as “Bigg Vinny,” revealed a man of immense talent and charisma. However, it was his battle with obesity and his transformative journey on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” that introduced us to the tenacity of the man behind the music. Emerging a victorious 242 lbs., Bigg Vinny channeled his newfound philosophy into his music career, taking on roles as a manager, distributor, touring artist, and actor.
“Battleground” is more than a song; it’s a testament to the sweat and tears poured into life’s passionate pursuits. As Bigg Vinny describes,
“BATTLEGROUND is a song that takes me straight back to sweating it out at two-a-days training for football. You had to truly love something so much that you would be willing to go out there on the BATTLEGROUND and leave everything – BLOOD, SWEAT and TEARS!!!”
This track resonates with anyone whose battleground is the relentless pursuit of their dreams, whether on the playing field, in the music industry, the daily hustle of their jobs, or in the noble service of their country.
Joining forces with Jared Blake from Season 1 of “The Voice” and Jared Weeks of rock band Saving Abel, “Battleground” promises to be a powerful collaboration that mirrors the diverse backgrounds and shared ethos of its creators. Fans can look forward to supporting Bigg Vinny on tour as he brings this powerful single and his upcoming music to the stage, showcasing the indomitable spirit that has always defined him.
