Pop singer-songwriter Elly Tess delivers an electric anthem with her new single “ghosting,” out now. Released alongside a beyond glamorous, sultry music video this track is following the songstress’ brilliant 2021 debut with her single, “sad girl.” “ghosting” dives into the gut-wrenching experience of feeling a relationship burn-out while your significant other refuses to admit the truth.

At its core, this track embodies how difficult it can be to end toxic relationships, and the frustrations of feeling trapped in a romance that is bound to whither. Listeners can expect to hear elements of artists like Zara Larsson and Dua Lipa on “ghosting;” Elly Tess has shown that her knack for painfully melancholic storytelling invigorated by an electric beat is a force to be reckoned with in 2022.

The Poland-born LA transplant found herself living through a harrowing situation where her significant other prioritized the social safety of maintaining a toxic relationship over ending something that was already fading away. Feeling frustrated and gaslit, Elly Tess poured her passion into this track from start to finish; she says, “I loved being able to turn this deeply painful experience into a song to which you can dance all of your feelings out.” For Elly Tess, “‘ghosting’ is a manifestation of deep frustration. I think there’s nothing more cowardly than keeping someone around as a back-up plan,” she says. Viewers watch the artist as she embodies the full scope of emotions from her experience – frustration, bitterness, and resentment – and dances in spite of them.

Elly Tess is a writer, singer, composer and songwriter born in Łódź. The artist has been living in the USA since the age of 13. In 2013, she published a fantasy novel, entitled “Sapphire.” In 2020, she graduated with honours (Summa cum Laude) from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) in two fields of study: philosophy and music industry.
