Entertaining the masses with their retro pop music and making marriage look sexy again, RubyGld Smoke has released a live performance video of their single “Shoot Your Shot” on March 10th. “Shoot Your Shot” was filmed in the recent Livestream concert that drew over a hundred fans to join them virtually for the first live performance of their full debut album Revolutionary Love. This performance of the fifth single from their album touches on the romantic benefits of not holding back. T.L. of RGS opens up the track with a first verse full of witty wordplay – picking up on his admirer’s vibes.

“Girl I’m catching all the vibes like a shortstop” he proclaims. The sexy and direct bounce is reminiscent of late-‘90s R&B, a familiar feel by the duo who have become known for their uniquely eclectic mix of pop and R&B that has transformed the way fans see creativity. “‘Shoot Your Shot’ is a song about going for yours,” says Dani-Jo Williams – the female half of RubyGld Smoke. “It’s a song about the benefits of transparency. Simply put, nobody can read your mind, so you need to be able to speak your mind.”

A kick-off to their tour, the virtual concert celebrates Revolutionary Love – a sixteen-track journey of the couple’s love story as the two produced and wrote the album together in their home studio during the COVID-19 pandemic. Releasing under the duo’s own label, Quiet Kingdom Recordings, the album’s title harkens to well-known African-American philosophy, which states the most revolutionary thing a black man and woman can do is love each other. RubyGld Smoke has announced that the full virtual concert experience is available to stream on-demand until the end of March. Interested viewers can head to viewstub.com to purchase a ticket.

The iconic power couple (Terrance and Dani -Jo Williams) has more than just music to offer as they are also the entrepreneurs of Quiet Kingdom Recordings and Quiet Kingdom Media Group (film company) – both of which played a role in the live production of “Shoot Your Shot”. The duo is also the founder of Symphony Of Change Inc. – an arts education organization dedicated to equitable arts enrichment programs throughout the US. When Dandria Dani Jo Williams met her husband T. L. Williams in early 2014, it was clear from the jump they were made to do something big together. Their undeniable chemistry was evident even as T. L. embarked on an initial solo career, garnering over 3 million streams with hits like “Gettin Mo Money Than You” and “Melanin”. Meanwhile, Dani Jo was a behind-the-scenes contributor through the entirety of T. L.’s 6 album solo run, co-writing songs and adding vocals. The couple, feeling like it was finally time, has now come out front together with an eclectic mix of pop-soul energy a la “Rose Royce”.
