MAKO Girls Joins Sun & Sky Records for New Single “Ready”
Sun & Sky Records announces the addition of Pop R&B group MAKO Girls to their roster with their new single release, “Ready,” on October 23rd. “Ready” exudes confidence and positive energy in the style of Fifth Harmony – commanding an undeniable presence both musically and lyrically. Promoting self-confidence, the MAKO Girls say that “Ready” is meant to encourage “simply being you and owning it.” The upbeat, powerful track showcases MAKO Girls at the top of their game as the three sisters continue to make waves in the entertainment industry.
Meet Kena, A-ani, and Mimi Ochoa known to most as MAKO Girls. They are three sisters that took their love for singing and dancing to a professional level. Inspired by Missy Elliott, TLC, Aaliyah, Katy Perry, and Mindless Behavior, MAKO Girls are an Atlanta-based Pop group bringing different styles to voice one epic sound. Since 2013, this hot trio has performed in over 50 cities across the U.S, in various venues for a variety of festivals and concerts. Some of the most memorable events were The 5th Annual Carnival Glow Party, Fresh Empire Atlanta Teen Showcase Edition, Celebration of Music (aired on PBS), and The Taste of Soul Festival in downtown Atlanta.
The girl’s unique style was featured as an opening act for Mindless Behavior as they continued to gain momentum industry-wide. MAKO Girls have performed consistently even blessing the stage for the BET Hip Hop Awards pre-show events. MAKO Girls have been setting their own trends and creating their own opportunities. With the upcoming release of their second EP, the MAKO Girls are making waves in the entertainment industry and it’s a dream come true.
