It’s the start of another week at PureGrainAudio so, to set you going, we’ve pulled together ten new songs, videos, and bands that have recently landed in our inbox that we think you should check out. Enjoy!

01. The Keep – “Cub”
The Keep, the solo project of Gothenburg-based Oliver Knowles, has released a new video for “Cub”. The track is taken from his debut EP Primer, out now via Houndstooth. The Keep is also set to play a headline London show on Feb 12th at Paper Dress Vintage.


02. Curran – “Better Days”
Curran have just released their brand new 2020 mix for single “Better Days”, their second to be lifted from their debut E.P Lonely Road of Faith.


03. Another Sky – “Brave Face”
Another Sky have released their new single “Brave Face” out now via Fiction Records. The track is taken from their anticipated upcoming debut album which is due for release later this year.


04. Parachute For Gordo – “White Noise Bear (I Am The Horse)”
– Instrumental post-rock band Parachute for Gordo have released a video for their brand new single, “White Noise Bear (I Am The Horse)”. The track is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming new LP, Best Understood By Children And Animals, set for release on 14th February 2020 via Beth Shalom Records.


05. Aerial Salad – “Romance”
– Mancunian punks Aerial Salad have released their new single “Romance?” taken from their upcoming Dirt Mall album due on March 27, 2020 through Roach Industries/Plasterer and ahead of their UK dates in April.


06. Afterbirth – “Never Ending Teeth”
– Pioneering brutal band Afterbirth have unveiled the second single from their forthcoming sophomore album Four Dimensional Flesh. The track, entitled “Never Ending Teeth”, showcases the album’s crushing progressive dissonance and unrelenting extremity. Four Dimensional Flesh will see a March 13, 2020 release date via Unique Leader.


07. Chronicles Of Hate – “Bet On Tragedy”
– Italian death metallers Chronicles of Hate have unleashed their lyric video for their next single “Bet On Tragedy” from their forthcoming debut album The Birth of Hate due out February 28th via Extreme Metal Music.


08. Monotheist – “Twilight Of The Wolves”
Monotheist have released a new track, entitled “Twilight of the Wolves”, ahead of their upcoming tour with labelmates, Exist. The band are currently working on the follow up to 2018’s Scourge, slated for a 2021 release date


09. Sea Wolf – “Forever Nevermore”
– Alternative indie/folk artist Sea Wolf has released a contemplative new song, “Forever Nevermore”, along with an illustrative new video. The track is taken from Sea Wolf’s first new album in six years, Through A Dark Wood, which releases on March 20, 2020 via Dangerbird Records.


10. Albert Cummings – “Red Rooster”
– Blues artist Albert Cummings has released a new song, “Red Rooster” ahead of new album, Believe, which is released on February 14, 2020 via Provogue.

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
