Something we don’t give you nearly enough of is alt-pop/rock, so we’re here to break that trend today with the premiere of NYC band MissYou’s new studio session video for “Your Body”! This is the title track to the band’s debut EP, and we really shouldn’t bog them down into a genre or category though, as MissYou are a group of four accomplished musicians who look to several different influences in the creation of their music. The band’s vision is to create songs that can stand behind an emphasis on storytelling and moving listeners through time. They pull inspiration from a broad range of music, as well as film and the visual arts. They are strong believers in free expression and that every picture and sound they create as a unit fits as a component into a larger story.
Speaking of the new black and white studio video version, lead vocalist (and the brains behind the band) Blaise Beyhan, noted, ”Sometimes going after what you want and believing, in some way, that you deserve it, can destroy everything you loved to begin with. The more you care and the more you believe someone or something belongs to you, the more futile your fate.”
If you’re not a genre freak, then you’re going to love this!
Now that you’ve seen the studio session, watch the “YourBody” music video.
