California “supergroup” Sufferer have announced their first cross-country tour that will begin next month. If you’re wondering why they’re a “supergroup,” it’s because the band features members of I The Mighty, A Lot Like Birds and Hail The Sun. The band doesn’t pass themselves as just any rock band out there. They set out to offer listeners a musical entity in which those who suffer from anxiety and depression can connect with. Sufferer released their self-titled debut album last year.

Originally intended to just be a standalone album, Sufferer have now decided to take the show on the road. The group is a “heavy” band, but only as heavy as the subject material entails. Hail The Sun’s Shane Gann originally initiated the project and acts as the primary writer. Gann recruited the other members as a result of their multiple musical talents and abilities. A Lot Like Birds’ Cory Lockwood fronted the lyrical direction of the record, putting his English degree to good use to craft a narrative that reads more like a script than just a story.
