Motionless In White (w/ Cane Hill) @ Stylus (Leeds, UK) on January 20, 2018 [Photos + Show Review]
Motionless in White and Cane Hill brought Leeds Stylus to its knee with a sonic metal assault. Check out the photos and review here..
Cane Hill was a blur of red and blue lights at Leeds Stylus, an assault on the senses and a perfect fit, opening for Motionless In White. The audience comprised mostly young, student aged revellers and the heat in the depths of Stylus meant the tiny plastic cups of water made a steady passage across the barrier. Cane Hill crammed their short set full of tracks from their latest album including “Lord of the Flies”, “It Follows” and title track “Too Far Gone”.
After a short delay in the turnaround between bands, Motionless In White processed on stage one by one, followed by two leather-glad girls wielding whips. Intermittently throughout the gig, the girls would reappear in a new outfit, and at one point waving enormous Graveyard Shift tour flags. Chris Motionless towered above the crowd in leather platforms and Ghost Sola wore a bunny mask before revealing his bloodied make-up.
After several Graveyard Shift tracks, Spencer Charnas from Ice Nine Kills joined the band to sing “Abigail”. Another twist to the evening was the first performance of ‘London In Terror’ since September 2012 and, for the final encore, “Eternally Yours” brought Leeds to its knees.
