Los Angeles-based Athanasia blend classic thrash, power and black metal influences with modern heavy metal which is well on display on the new video for “Cyclops Lord (My Will Is Done).” The track is from the new full-length The Order of the Silver Compass coming out later this year. Athanasia formed out of the ashes of ex-Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Caleb Andrew Bingham’s long time project Ascension. Athanasia features Bingham on guitar/vocals, Ascension bassist Brandon Miller and Murder FM and ex-Murderdolls/Wednesday 13 drummer Jason West.
Frontman Caleb Bingham commented, “‘Cyclops Lord’ is our take on the root of all evil… the almighty dollar! The song’s strong lyrical content made this video beg for hidden subliminal visuals, not unlike those present on the dollar itself…”
