Bastille (Osheaga) @ Parc Jean-Drapeau (Montreal, QC) on July 30, 2016 [Show Review]
Bastille put on an unbelievably wild performance this past weekend at Osheaga.
Bastille put on an unbelievably-wild performance at Osheaga 2016. They performed on day two, and without a doubt, they were my absolute favourite performers out of every artist and band I saw. They’ve got a lively stage presence and they definitely know how to get the crowd going. Dan even hopped off the stage and walked into the crowd twice!
The band played quite a few songs off their upcoming album (some of which they played live for the first time ever), and they were all so darn good. “Good Grief” (described by Dan as “one of the happiest songs about death”) has now become one of my favourite songs from them. They ended off their set with their hit single, “Pompeii”, and the crowd went absolutely insane.
It’s been over three years – yes, it’s been that long – since Bastille released their last album. Wild World will be their second studio album, and it’s set to be released on September 9th of this year, so be sure to mark your calendars!
