If you’re looking for a dose of “hateful and regressive Chicago death metal” then you’ve come to the right place! Imperial Savagery is a Southwest Chicago four-piece that really packs a wallop on your oh-so-sensitive ears. Some of their top influences include Angel Corpse and Immolation, so if that’s any indication of what they sound like, then you’re in for a treat.
Formed in 2013, Imperial Savagery released their self-titled album earlier this year, featuring ten tracks of ear annihilation – a couple of the members were initially part of the local Chicago death metal band CorpseVomit before linking up with the other two guys in the group. The album brings an old school approach to death metal, so if you’re into your classic metal then you’ll probably eat this up. Lasting only 27 minutes, Imperial Savagery is straight to the point and avoids any unnecessary nonsense. If that sounds good to you then check this out!
