The Skinny: Brooklyn-based alternative-rock group The Corduroy Suit releases second single “Giant Neptune” off their new EP, Revisions, out now. The second single off the Suit’s five-track EP showcases lead singer John Schmergel’s signature haunting vocals, complimented by soaring, evocative melodies. The five-track EP was recorded and engineered by Roger Greenawalt (Ben Kweller, Rufus Wainwright, Albert Hammond Jr.); it features John Schmergel (guitar/vocals) and Chris Asta (guitar, bass, programming) and marks the group’s formal debut on the alt-rock music scene.

Second single “Giant Neptune” re-imagines the burden of unrequited love as a journey to another planet—it’s a destination you know you’ll never reach, but you can’t stop yourself from attempting the trip, even if you know it might ruin you. The Revisions EP that was released April 8th, 2014, and has already garnered numerous positive reviews.
