A Band of Orcs – “Adding Heads to the Pile”

A Band of Orcs, the unmistakable fantasy-themed death metal group, has returned with their latest slab of molten metal, Adding Heads to the Pile. I have been a fan of the band from the beginning and I totally dig their uniquely-themed, death metal assault. Right from the get-go these guys make it clear that they’re are not a gimmick band; this is top-notch, face-melting brutality chock full of killer riffs, wicked shredding and totally insane drumming.

The title track, “Prepare for the Domination,” is an immediate kick in the gut that knocks the wind out of you, pounds you over the head and renders you into submission for the following 76+ minutes. I can’t say enough good things about this record; I truly dig the whole package… from the intense cover artwork and music to the whole underlying theme.

If you’re a fan of heavy metal or extreme music and not yet familiar with A Band of Orcs, I highly suggest you acquaint yourself with them as soon as possible. These guys are the real deal!
