HARD and Embrace Present HARD TORONTO August 4 featuring Justice, M83 [Event]

HARD and Embrace Present HARD TORONTO August 4 featuring Justice, M83 [Event] Following the announcement of its expansion to a two-day event in Los Angeles for the first time in its five-year history, HARD Events is now launching HARD TORONTO on Saturday, August 4 at Fort York: Garrison Common in Toronto, ON in conjunction with Toronto’s own Embrace Presents.

Taking place concurrently with the second night of the HARD SUMMER music festival in Los Angeles, HARD TORONTO will feature live performances from headliners Justice (Live) and M83, along with supporting acts Austra and Buraka Som Sistema.

Tickets go on sale Monday, March 5 at 10 a.m. EST and can be purchased at HARD FEST, TicketWeb, Embrace.

French electronic superstars Justice (Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé) recently released Audio, Video, Disco on tastemaker label Ed Banger Records. Reaching #37 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart and #4 on the Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, Audio, Video, Disco sees Justice mixing their signature electro sound with arena rock elements. They will bring this energetic mixture to life at HARD TORONTO, where the duo will perform a live set complete with a full band. France’s electronic pop outfit M83 recently released its sixth studio album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming on Mute Records, debuting at #15 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart with first-week sales of 21,000 copies and becoming their highest-charting album to date. The night will also feature opening sets from Toronto’s own Austra and kuduro masters Buraka Som Sistema. HARD TORONTO promises to be an exciting night of live performances from four of today’s most progressive acts, all set in a unique, outdoor festival atmosphere.

“I’m really excited—this is by far our biggest HARD show in Canada,” says Gary Richards, founder of HARD. “Justice headlined my first HARD event ever in 2007 and now I get to bring them to one of my favorite cities in 2012. Toronto has an amazing music scene. I played there a bunch and always have an amazing time with great people who come out to support. My friends Crystal Castles and deadmau5 live there to name a few.”

Embrace Presents was founded in 2002 and today produces the most in-demand music events in Toronto and beyond.
